Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame detector circuit which can judge a failure of circuit that the amplification factor of an amplifier deviates from an allowable range, a failure of circuit that the output of the amplifier oscillates in addition to a failure of circuit that a constant voltage exceeding a specified threshold level is outputted continuously from the amplifier regardless of the input level to the amplifier.
SOLUTION: Input to an amplifier is switched periodically from the thermoelectromotive force of a thermocouple to a predetermined reference voltage. A decision is made that the circuit is faulty if the output level of the amplifier does not fall within a specified range when the reference voltage is inputted and/or if the output period of the amplifier is different from the period for switching the input of the amplifier to the reference voltage.
