Abstract:
To provide a flame-retardant cable having flame retardancy over the whole in the longitudinal direction, and a method for manufacturing the same.
In the flame-retardant cable, a flame-retardant layer 3 having a hydrous water-absorbing polymer 4 dispersed therein is formed after a conductor 1 is covered with an insulating layer 2, and the content of pure water in the flame-retardant layer 3 is 15 to 80% inclusive. The water-absorbing polymer which has absorbed pure water is dispersed in an ultraviolet-curable resin composition, and the insulating layer is covered with the ultraviolet-curable resin composition to form the flame-retardant layer. The outer periphery of the flame-retardant layer is covered with an anti-evaporation layer.
