To improve a flame-retardant composition which is unstable, nonuniform and not integrated when a polymer emulsion as an objective material is inserted into a flame-retardant substance of fibrous textile material including an acidic salt (such as a sulfate) and a hydrophilic surfactant, by improving quality and capability by resolving the production method and simply and easily completing processing.
The improved flame-retardant composition includes (A) at least one kind (2-5 kinds) of a salt selected from among a sulfate, a nitrate, a silicate, a phosphate, an acidic sulfate, a sulfamate, an oxalate, a succinate, a tartrate, an acetate, a hydroxyacetate and a lactate (each salt being a salt of Na, K, Mg, NH4, Ca or alkanolamine), (B) a hydrophilic surfactant and (C) a polymer emulsion for using characteristics for performing application. The composition in which the mixture of (A), (B) and (C) contains an aromatic sulfonate is used for flame-retardant treatment of textile fabrics, such as fibra, has excellent stability, and includes a polymer emulsion advantageous for various purposes.
