Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a compsn. which can be processed at high temps. without detriment to its mechanical strengths by compounding a linear alternating copolymer formed from CO and an ethylenically unsatd. compd. with a specific compd.
CONSTITUTION: A linear alternating copolymer (A) formed from CO and at least one ethylenically unsatd. compd. (e.g. ethylene) and having an m.p. of 175-300°C is compounded with 2-40 mass % compd. (B) comprising an org. halogen compd. having at least one polyhalogenated ring and a halogen content of 50 mass % or higher (e.g. perchlorodicyclopentadiene) and/or either Sb2O3 or a metal borates {e.g. Zn[B3O3(OH)5]H2O}.
