Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant compound, a hardening agent, and a polyphenolic epoxy resin.SOLUTION: The flame-retardant compound comprises, in the molecular structure, a phenolic hydroxyl group and a group M having a phosphorous-nitrogen unsaturated bond structure composed of phosphorous atoms with unsaturated bonding and nitrogen atoms with unsaturated bonding, M includes at least 50 wt.% of cyclotriphosphazene group M, a cyclic phosphazene group Mhaving at least 48 wt% of four or more phosphorous-nitrogen unsaturated bonds and at least 48 wt% of non-cyclic polyphosphazene group M. By the constitution, excellent flame retardancy is imparted to the flame-retardant compound, and excellent heat resistance, water resistance adhesion, mechanical properties and electrical properties are imparted to the cured matter. Further, in the case the composition is applied to a circuit board with a composite metal plate, its flame retardancy is improved, its cost effectiveness is high, and it is gentle for the environment.SELECTED DRAWING: None
