Title:
FLAME-RETARDANT POLYCARBONATE RESIN COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000351893
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a composition, which is excellent in mechanical properties, flame retardancy and low mold deposit property along with excellent weatherability, by compounding specified amounts of a phosphazene compound, polyfluoroethylene, an impact modifier and a UV absorber in an aromatic polycarbonate resin.

0.5 to 40 pts.wt. of a phosphazene compound, 0.01 to 5 pts.wt. polyfluoroethylene, 0.5 to 30 pts.wt. of an impact modifier, and 0.01 to 2 pts.wt. of a UV absorber are compounded in 100 pts.wt. of an aromatic polycarbonate. As the phosphazene compound, there may be mentioned cyclic phenoxyphosphazenes, linear phenoxyphosphazenes, crosslinked phenoxyphosphazenes wherein part of the phenyl group of the cyclic and linear phenoxyphosphazenes is replaced by a crosslinking group. Polyfluoroethylene includes polyfluoroethylene having the capability of fibrillation. As the impact modifier, an acrylic rubber is preferred.
