Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. haaving excellent crystallizability, non- dripping flame retardance flexural modulus and surface gloss, by blending a specified crystallizability improver, glass fiber, an inorg. powder, an org. halogen compd. and an org. or inorg. Sb compd. with a polyester.

CONSTITUTION: 10W15pts.wt. glass fiber (A) in which the distribution of weight- average fiber length is in accordance with logarithmic normal distribution and a paint of 50% cumulative distribution is 0.2W0.4mm, and 15W45pts.wt. ionrg. powder (B) having a weight-average particle size of 2W100μ are blended with 100pts.wt. compsn. obtd. by blending a crystallizability improver (C) consisting of 0.1W5pts.wt. nucleating agent (e.g. talc) and 0.5W10pts.wt. crystallization accelerator (e.g. PE), 10W30pts.wt. org. halogen compd. (D) (e.g. polydiromophenylene oxide), and an org. or inorg. Sb compd. (E) (e.g. Sb2O3) in a quantity of 1W1/5 times by weight the halogen content of component D, with 100pts.wt. polyethylene terephthalate or copolyester (F) contg. at least 80mol% of ethylene terephthalate unit.
