Abstract:
To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition having high flame retardancy without detriment to its excellent mechanical characteristics (impact resistance, heat resistance, flowability and heat stability) inherent in amorphous thermoplastic resins, and to provide a molded article comprising the same.
This flame retardant resin composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. amorphous thermoplastic resin (A) with a 1-100 pts.wt. polymer or oligomer (B) having a glass transition temperature of at most the glass transition temperature of the amorphous thermoplastic resin A +30°C, and a weight loss at 500°C in a heating test in air (temperature rise speed: 40°C/min) of at most 30%.
