Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the title compsn. having excellent flame retardance and adhesion to metallic materials and suitable for use in the production of rubber goods containing metallic material embedded therein, by adding an organohalogen compd. and an org. compd. contg. at least one epoxy group to natural and/or synthetic rubber.
CONSTITUTION: 10W100pts.wt. organohalogen compd. (e.g. chlorinated paraffin) as a flame retarder and 1W50pts.wt. org. compd. contg. at least one epoxy group (e.g. triglycidyl ether) are blended with 100pts.wt. natural and/or synthetic rubber such as styrene/butadiene rubber or ethylene/propylene/diene terpolymer rubber.
