Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a rubber-modified styrenic resin compsn. excellent in flame retardancy resistances to water and light, and mechanical properties without using a haogenous flame retardant.
CONSTITUTION: This compsn. comprises a styrenic resin, a red phosphorus, a nitrogen-contg. phosphorus compd. selected from among melamine pyrophosphate, condensed melamine phosphate, dimelamine phosphate, and trimelamine phosphate, and a fluororesin, has a high flame retardancy such as the V0 grade by the VB method according to UL-94, and is suitable for electric appliances, office automation apparatuses, etc.
