Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant wood capable of obtaining high flame retardancy and flame interruption property, and manufacturing at high productivity, while containing a veneer sheet having a portion of low strength such as a loose knot.SOLUTION: A flame-retardant wood 10 comprises: a plate-shaped wood body 11 which is constituted by laminating a plurality of veneer sheets 111 while at least one of a plurality of the veneer sheets 111 has a portion 111a of low strength; and a burn-through preventing layer 12 integrally provided to the wood body 11 to prevent the wood body 11 from being burned-through when a heat generation test by a cone calorimeter is applied thereto.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B
