Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retarded polyester pongee of high flame retardancy with printing fastness retention despite of low screenability, and to provide a method for flame-retarding a polyester pongee.
SOLUTION: This polyester pongee is characterized by being treated with a flame-retarding treatment agent comprising a halogen-contg. polymer emulsion as a binder and an antimony pentoxide sol or its combination with a halogen- based flame retardant.
