PURPOSE: To obtain a cable whose flexibility and flame retarder property are excellent, by forming the outest cover layer with material in which carbonate is mixed in substance that the main composition is polymer which contains halogen and oxygen index is a specified value.
CONSTITUTION: The outest cover layer 5 is formed with material in which carbonate is mixed in polymer which contains halogen and oxygen index is over 35. As carbonate, for example, it is preferable to blend 0.3-2.0 weight parts of zinc carbonate to 100 weight parts of the material. For example, adding existences 3 such as jute and the like, retaining tape 4 is wound on a plurality number of cores for which copper twisted wire 1 are covered by poly vinyl chloride insulating body 2, and sheath 5 is formed on the outside circumference with flame retarder material in which 2 weight per cent of zinc carbonate powder is blended in average sheath material whose main material is poly-vinyl-chloride and the oxygen index is 40. Thus, a cable whose flexibility and general cable characteristics are equalled to those of average cable and its flame retarder property is excellent can be obtained
