Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make flameproofing processing with resistance to washing for feather down highly liable to be damaged, without entirely damaging while retaining its high bulkiness.
CONSTITUTION: Feather down is treated with a chemical agent containing (A) a protein selected from collagen, gelatin, egg protein, plasma protein, casein and bean juice, (B) a titanium fluoride salt selected from potassium titanium fluoride, sodium titanium fluoride and ammonium titanium fluoride, and (C) an oxycarboxylic acid.
