Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flange forming device for a metal can, which can form a flange part of a can drum of a metal can reliably into a predetermined shape.SOLUTION: A flange forming device 1 comprises a spinner 2 made rotatable on an autorotation axis S arranged in a direction to intersect a center axis P of a neck part 12 of a can trunk 11 of a metal can 10 at the time of forming a flange part 13. The spinner 2 includes: a holding part 3 for holding an inner face 12b of the neck part 12 at the time of forming the flange part 13; and a flange working part 4 for bending an open end part 12a of the neck part 12 outward. Moreover, the holding part 3 is formed of a portion of a spherical surface U having a center Q on the autorotation axis S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
