Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flange forming method and a device capable of easily forming a flange relatively large in diameter without developing cracks by pressing a work in the axial direction thereby surely buckling it.
SOLUTION: A work W is bucked to the specified quantity by pressing a surface of an end part Wa of the work W by pressing surfaces 10a, 12a of a die 10 and a sleeve 12 while feeding a projecting side and an opposite side (the inner side of the work W) so as to form a flange of the work W, and the work W bucked to the specified quantity is further buckled while the projecting side (the outer side of the work W) so as to form the flange of the surface of the end part Wa of the work W.
