Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm remaining sand adhered to an inner surface of a flange of a casting body having a recessed space, and to remove the remaining sand with a simple and light-weight structure.SOLUTION: In a flange structure for a casting, a casting body 1 has an opening 6 formed by flanges 5 and 5' provided at least in a part thereof, and has a recessed space 3 formed inward of the casting body 1 from the opening 6. Inner tilt surfaces 11 and 11' having a same tilt angle at least with a minimum peep angle α for visually recognizing an inner surface 9 from the outside of the opening 6 are formed on the inner surface 9 in the recessed space 3 side of the flanges 5 and 5'.
