Title:
FLANNELLY NONWOVEN FABRIC AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01213451
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a flannelly nonwoven fabric having high-density nap groups on one surface and excellent in appearance and touch, by placing a web of regenerated cellulose fibers on a net or perforated plate, superposing a web of a specific short fibers and applying treatment of high-pressure columnar water stream thereon.

CONSTITUTION: A web consisting of short fibers or filaments of regenerated cellulose fibers is placed on a supporting member consisting of a net or perforated plate of 20W150 mesh size and a web consisting of optional short fibers (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate) having 5W20mm fiber length and 0.5W5 denier size is the superposed and, as necessary, a web consisting of regenerated cellulose fibers is further superposed thereon. Treatment of high-pressure columnar water stream under ≥30kg/cm2G pressure is then applied thereon to afford the aimed flannelly nonwoven fabric having both mutually interlaced and integrally conjugated fibers and nap groups with ≥2,500 fibers/cm2 density and 0.05W3mm average finer length on one surface thereof.
