To provide a flared joint for preventing the freezing of water in outside air after entering into the joint, and to provide a refrigerating cycle device using the same.
The flared joint comprises a joint body 1 and a flared nut 2. The joint body 1 has parallel outer faces 15a, 15b formed as outer peripheral faces parallel to a center axis between a male screw 16a and a tapered outer face 14. The flared nut 2 has a parallel inner face 25 formed as an inner peripheral face parallel to the center axis between a female screw 22 and a thrust tapered face 24. The parallel outer faces 15a, 15b and the parallel inner face 25 are arranged opposing each other in the state of fastening the flared nut 2 to the joint body 1 to form an annular passage therebetween. In the annular passage at a position apart from a flared portion 51 of a connection pipe 5, a ring-shaped seal member 3 is mounted which is formed of an elastic material.
