Abstract:

PURPOSE: To cause a flash lamp incorporated in a flashover display device to flash even in a cold district.

CONSTITUTION: A capacitor C2 for light emission and a thyristor Q2 for light emitting operation are connected to the secondary side of a CT for grounding current detection through a surge absorbing circuit 2 and a rectifying circuit 3. A capacitor C3 which is charged at a speed higher than that of the capacitor C2 for light emission is connected in parallel with this capacitor C2, and a shunt regulator Q1 is made conductive when the potential of the capacitor C3 reaches a prescribed level. When the shunt regulator Q1 is made conductive, a gate voltage is given to the thyristor Q2 for light emitting operation through a transistor TR1, and a flash lamp 4 emits light by the electric charge of the capacitor C2 for light emission.
