Title:
FLASH POINT DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2610000
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To measure the flash point of a sample such as petroleum product, etc., by commonly using a heat source for ignition and a sample vessel as electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: A sample S is contained in a sample vessel 11, and the temperature of the sample S is raised by heating means (not shown). A heat source 13 for ignition is scanned at a predetermined speed on the surface of the sample Q every time the temperature of the sample S is raised by 2°C. When the vapor of the sample S is ignited to generate a flame, a flame ion current flows between the anode of the source 13 and the cathode of the vessel 11, the current is amplified by an amplifier 15, and the temperature of the sample S at this time is obtained as a measured flash point.
