PURPOSE: To make the effective printing at a low cost possible, by printing the same resist pattern on the two sides of the material to be printed.

CONSTITUTION: A block slab 1 and the printing slab 2 having a blanket sheet 3 on its top surface are provided. A printing slab control means 6 has the drive and guide means which bring a blanket cylinder 4 and an inking unit 5 to respective slabs and moves the printing slab vertically each unit printing process. A web taking retreat means 8 lets a web state material 7 to be printed take retreat from the printing position while ink is transferred from the blanket cylinder 4 onto the sheet 3. Further, a web winding means 40 is provided. The taking retreat means 8 is composed of the lifting means 10 which lifts the shaft 9 of a supply side web roll, the lifting means which lifts the shaft 11 of a printed web winding roll, the support frame 13 of both lifting means 10, 12 and a drive means 14. By using such a press, the high quality same pattern on both sides can be, in a high yield, formed on the material to be printed.
