PURPOSE: To efficiently utilize resources and lower product cost by saving the amount of a core wire to be discharged regarding a flat cable, a manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: A flat cable has a core wire removed part 4 which is formed by unitedly coating a plurality of core wires 2 arranged so as to keep one another in a parallel gap by an outer sheath 3 as an insulating coating and at the same time removing at least a portion of the core wires 2 partly along the longitudinal direction of the wires. The amount of the core wires 2 to be discharged is saved by making the unnecessary part to be cut at the time when the cable is made to be a product such as a wire harness, etc., be the same as the core wire removed part 4.
