PURPOSE: To enable a flat heater to be easily mounted at a desired place by smoothing a radiation plate insulation sheet.
CONSTITUTION: An electrical insulation film 4 is pasted to the surface of a radiation plate 3, and heating bodies 2 are arranged at the predetermined positions on the surface of the plate 3. Then, the heating bodies 2 and the electrodes 2a thereof are jointed to one another with solder 10, and leads 7 and 8 are connected to the electrodes 2b of the heating bodies 2 and the radiation plate 3 with solder. On the other hand, the radiation plate 3 is clamped between a radiation plate insulation sheet 5 and a heating body insulation sheet 6, and the peripheral sections 5a and 6a of the sheets 5 and 6 are pasted and sealed. As a result, a flat heater having the radiation plate 3 and the heating bodies 2 electrically insulated from the outside can be easily provided, while the smoothness of the radiation plate 3 is kept. In this case, the flat heater is insulated and can be mounted on a metal or the like. In addition, the heating bodies 2, radiation plate 3 and radiation plate insulation sheet 5 adhere to one another and, therefore, heat transfer efficiency from the heating bodies 2 to the outside becomes high.
