To solve the following problem: a conventional flat tile with a multi-purpose slanting recess, intends to improve flashing thereof by making use of effect of relaxation of a return pitch, but a rear surface of a tail-side end thereof abuts on a batten when roofed, and therefore it has no means for discharging hot air stagnant in a gap between a roof substrate and the rear surface of the tile, resulting in failure of decay prevention of the substrate and hot air alleviation in an attic space.
There is provided a flat tile for a gentle pitched roof, which has an underlap and an overlap. A main body of the tile is almost uniform in thickness, and has bulged bands on both sides of a front surface and a downward inclined surface reaching a top-side end except for a tail-side overlapping portion, to thereby achieve improved flashing effect. Further by using a space portion formed by boring a rear surface of a tail-side end and an air passage defined by a plurality of ribs protruding from the downward inclined rear surface, upward discharge of hot air stagnant on a rear side of the tile is accelerated.
