PURPOSE: To eliminate disadvantage of requiring skilled inspecting personnel, etc. and make possible visual inspection of the traces of flaws by contact-disposing pressure sensitive paper face on the developable surface of the member to be inspected, rolling the paper with rollers and inspecting the density on the pressure sensitive paper after rolling.

CONSTITUTION: Roller support rods 5a, 5b are oscillated in the white arrow B direction and the member 4 to be examined is placed on pressuring rollers 3a, 3b. Next, with the rods 5a, 5b being oscillated in the white arrow A direction, the member 4 is contacted to a rolling roller 2. When the roller 2 is driven, it is transmitted to the member 4 and the rollers 3a, 3b, which then turn respectively in the black arrow direction. When pressure sensitive paper 1 is inserted in the contact position of the roller 2 and member 4, it is discharged like the white arrow C, receiving constant pressure during rolling. However, pressure is not evenly applied in the flaw, i.e., undulated portions of the surface, thus the traces of the flaws having been colored to the density conforming to the uneven pressure are formed on the pressure sensitive paper 1. Hence, the flaws may be surely inspected simply by looking at a glans the traces of the flaws having transferred onto the paper.
