Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible boot which can be sealed without newly attaching a different part and a boot band while securing assembling performance to a fixed mating member, in other words, can make compatible both the assembling performance and the sealing performance of the flexible boot.SOLUTION: In a flexible boot which is sealed by fixing cylindrical fixing parts 3 at both ends of a bellows part 2 to a fixed mating member, a fixed ring 5 stiffer than the cylindrical fixing part 3, and slidably fit to the cylindrical fixing part 3 is arranged at the cylindrical fixing part 3. A non-constraint region 8 expanded or reduced in an outside diameter toward the other end side from one end in an axial direction, and having an outside-diameter dimension smaller than an inside diameter of the fixed ring 5, and a constraint region 7 having an outside-diameter dimension larger than the inside diameter of the fixed ring are arranged at an external peripheral face 4 of the cylindrical fixed part 3. When fixing the cylindrical fixing member 3 to the fixed mating member 12, the cylindrical fixing part 3 is made expandable in a diameter by making the fixed ring 5 slide to the non-constraint region 7, and after fitting the cylindrical fixing part 3 to the fixed mating member 12, the cylindrical fixing part 3 is diameter-contracted by making the fixed ring 5 slide to the constraint region 8, and fixed by interference-fitting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
