Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently mix gas and liquid without causing cell deslruction of microorganism or the like.
CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary impeller 3 having an almost arc-shaped cross section and a recessed surface in the rotational direction is attached at an interval on the peripheral part of a flat plate 2 horizontally provided on the outer circumference of the hob 1a. A liquid is rectified by the auxiliary impeller 3 and stripping vortex generated at the periphery of the flat plate 2 is eliminated or reduced to mix the liquid with a weak shearing force.
