The flexible dental treatment unit comprises: a gear mechanism composed of a bevel gear (a) fixed to the rotary shaft 2 of a rotary door 3, a bevel gear b meshed with the bevel gear (a) for transmitting power in a direction orthogonal to the rotary shaft 2 of the rotary door, a shaft A fixed to the bevel gear b, a bevel gear c fixed to the other end of the shaft A, a bevel gear d meshed with the bevel gear c for transmitting the power in a direction orthogonal to the shaft A, and a shaft B fixed to the bevel gear d; an arm 6 whose one end is fixed to the shaft B; a pin 7 fixed to the distal end of the arm 6; and a plate 9 fixed to the side of a carriage 5 for loading the dental treatment unit 1 and provided with an oblong hole 8 with which the pin 7 is to be freely slidably engaged. By turning the arm 6 by rotating force for opening and closing the rotary door 3, the pin 7 slides the oblong hole 8 and the carriage 5 is moved while pressurizing the plate 9.
