Abstract:
PURPOSE:To place a flexible disc concentrically to the revolving center of spindle without scaring the circumferential part of its circular hole by placing a clamp to a rotatable arm separate from frame and attaching special automatic floating mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a flixible magnetic disc 8 is placed within a driving unit 1 and an upper door 71 is lowered, a frame 3 turns about an axis 32 and its operation is transmitted to a lower door 72. Near the approximate center of the strokes of the upper and lower doors, a pawl 75 engages to the fitting part 79 of the upper door and the doors maintain the mutually engaged posture by overcoming the force of a pulling coil 33. At this time, the axis 42 supporting the clamp device moves in the directinn of the spindle 5 and therefore the clmap 4 fixes the disc 8 while aligning the center of the spindle and the center of the central hole of the disc 8. Thereby, the flixible disc is placed and fixed concentrically to the revolcing center of the spindle without being scared at the circumferential part of its circular hole.
