PURPOSE: To improve safety by forming electrodeposition abrasive grain layers formed by fixing super abrasive grains by means of metal plating phases on both surfaces of a disk shape cloth base material in a disk grinding wheel used for a false tooth and the like.
CONSTITUTION: Electrodeposition abrasive grain layers 14 formed by fixing super abrasive grains 10 such as diamond in a single layer shape or a multilayer shape respectively by means of metal plating phases 12, are formed on both surfaces of a cloth base material 8 formed by weaving a warp 8A and a weft 8B, and a flexible disk grinding wheel 1 is constituted. Chemical fiber cloth such as polyester is suitable for this cloth base material 8, and electrical conductivity is applied beforehand on the surface. A particle diameter and electrodeposition density of the super abrasive grains 10 are determined according to usage. For example, in dental surgery processing and the like, the particle diameter is set in about 10-20μm, and the electrodeposition density is set in about 15-50vol.%. The metal plating phases 12 are formed by depositing Ni and the like by means of an electrolytic plating method, and the thickness for the dental work is set at about 10-150μm.
