To provide transfer cylinders and flexible jacket covers of simple structure, inexpensive and of high reliability for supporting a printed surface on which a sheet is newly printed without making soils and smears on the new printed surface and without damaging a material to be printed.
A newly printed sheet S is delivered from one printing unit 20A to another printing unit 20B by transfer cylinders 10 respectively having flexibility jacket covers with ink-repellent conductive belt-shaped pieces movable to the cylinder sheet supporting surfaces. The jacket covers are made of a flexible cloth material stretched preliminarily, pressed flatly and cut into the given dimension. The cloth material is formed to be conductive by treating by an ink-repellent compound or by using one or a plurality of conductive strands. The static charge carried by a newly printed sheet is discharged to grounded transfer cylinders 10 through ink-repellent flexible jacket covers. The low friction coefficient of the transfer cylinder base covers is further reduced by nodes and/or holes.
