To provide a flexible nonhalogen flame retardant resin composition excellent in flexibility and peeling properties, etc., when used as a coating material for cable and wire and also excellent in workability and oil resistance.

This resin composition is prepared by formulating (A) ≤90 pts.wt. ethylene acrylate ethyl copolymer, (B) residual resin component comprising at least one kind selected from a group consisting of low density polyethylene and ethylene-based copolymer other than an ethylene acrylate ethyl copolymer, respectively based on the total of resin components of 100 pts.wt., (C) an inorganic flame retardant and (D) a solution of a crosslinking agent in an alkoxysilane.
