PURPOSE: To obtain the thin and flexible card by forming a reflecting layer on the rugged patterns of a resin layer and supporting the same with a supporting layer having flexibility.

CONSTITUTION: The resin layer 102 is formed on the supporting layer 101 having flexibility and the rugged patterns are formed on the surface of the resin layer 102. The reflecting layer 103 is so formed that the rugged patterns remain as they are. A protective layer 104 is formed on the reflecting layer 103. A surface hardened layer 105 is formed on the opposite side of the supporting layer 101. The surface hardened layer 105, the supporting layer 101 and the resin layer 102 are transparent and, therefore, the rugged patterns of the reflecting layer 103 can be read as binary data if the optical card is irradiated with reading light.
