Abstract:
PURPOSE: To arrange flanges on the ends of pipes to be connected to each other, in a flexible pipe connecting part of a vacuum toilet system on an aircraft.
CONSTITUTION: Flange elements composed of sockets 4, 5 and flanges 6, 7 are provided on the ends of respective pipes 2, 3, the sockets and the flanges are connected to and integrated with each other, the flange elements are made of flexible materials, have contact layers, the sockets 4, 5 surround the pipe ends from the outside and are fixed by at least one clamp 8, support rings 9, 10 are provided on the outer surfaces of the flanges 6, 7, and each support ring has one conical surface on the outside. Therefore, electric contact of pipes can be permanently maintained without welding or crushing the pipes.
