Abstract:

To provide a basically two-dimensional composite structure, which makes bending possible, and prohibits a bending to the opposite direction.

This flexible-rigid structure is a composite structure including at least one surface, and the structure can warp along one side of the surface. At the same time, the structure prohibits the warping along the side surface on the opposite side (i.e., opposes the warping). In this case, the structure is a composite structure comprising a first layer 1, which is flexible but almost non-stretchable, and a second layer 2, which is fixed on the first layer, and has at least durability to a compressive stress being applied in the direction, which is approx. in parallel with structure, and at the same time, includes a plurality of members 20 which are arranged in parallel with each other. The composite structure preferably includes an energy applying means (force applying means), which increases a returning force under a neutral state, and the energy applying means can be constituted of a third layer 3 made of an elastic material.
