To always project an adequate amount of the tip of a flexible tube from a retainer when the flexible tube is inserted into the retainer of the tip of a press ring screwed into a cylindrical body of a joint.
Radial expansion of a projection 40 of a retainer 33 is prevented by an inner peripheral surface 16 of a cylindrical body 11. When a flexible tube 1 is inserted into a press ring 25 and a retainer 33 which are removed from the cylindrical body 11, the projection 40 is widened by a crest part 4 of a corrugated tube 2, allows it to pass, and engages with the trough part 5. A step part 48 of the press ring 25 defines projecting amount of the corrugated tube 2 from the tip of the retainer 33 by touching the end surface 49 of a cover element 3. This projection is tightly pressed and squeezed by screwing of the press ring 25 into the cylindrical body 11.
