Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible type gear for realizing a highly accurate rotation transmission by eliminating a backlash at a gear meshing time with a simple mechanism and structure.SOLUTION: A portion of a structural member other than the tooth profile of a gear is made of an elastically deformable thin thickness structure having flexibility and, if necessary, an elastically deformable material so that an error of a tooth shape or between axes is absorbed to cause no chattering in the mesh of the gears. Moreover, the elastic deformation is made high in rigidity in a power transmission direction of the gear while so selectively low in rigidity that elastic deformation may be feasible in the direction of the inter-axis distance adjustment of the gears for eliminating a backlash.
