Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the cleaning efficiency of a transfer roll by a cleaning roll in a flexographic printing press.
SOLUTION: In the flexographic printing press comprising the transfer roll 1, the ink supply roll 2 and the cleaning roll 3 coming into contact with the transfer roll 1, the feed roll 4 opposed to the transfer roll 1 on the under side of the transfer roll 1 and doctor blades 5 and 6 coming into contact with the ink supply roll 2 and the cleaning roll 3 under pressure, the position of the center P2 of the cleaning roll 3 is set so as to be lower than the position of the center P1 of the transfer roll 1. By this setting, centrifugal force is allowed to effectively act on the ink adhering to the transfer roll 1 and the cleaning efficiency by the cleaning roll 3 is enhanced.
