Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time-of-flight type mass spectrometer capable of efficiently reducing noise with an ion pulse signal detected in an ion detector.SOLUTION: The time-of-flight type mass spectrometer comprises: (1) correction data creation means for creating M (M is a natural number) sets of noise cancellation computation data R×(I, I, ..., I), R×(I, I, ..., I), ..., R×(I, I, ..., I), with respect to N (N is a natural number) pieces of digital data points D(n=1, 2, ..., N) which are ordered in a time sequential manner, by multiplying signal strengths I(n=1, 2, ..., N) thereof by predetermined coefficients R(m=1, 2, ..., M); and (2) noise cancellation computation means formed from computation execution means which executes the computation of delay-shifting the M sets of noise cancellation computation data in the direction of elapsing the time just by j(m=1, 2, ..., M) pieces of data points for each set and then subtracting them from original mass spectrum data.
