Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject cell capable of uniformly deinking while preventing the short-circuit of a gyration flow by placing partition plates in a top-opened cell at prescribed spacings in the direction of the raw material liquid flow in such a manner as to allow the flow of raw material at the lower layer while restricting the flow of the upper layer. CONSTITUTION:The top of a body 2 forming the outer shell of a flotation apparatus 1 is opened to form a cell 3. Partition plates 20 are placed in the cell 3 at prescribed spacings in the flowing direction D of the raw material liquid S in such a manner as to allow the raw material flow of the lower layer while restricting the flow of the upper layer. The raw material liquid S produced by the chemical treatment of defibrated waste paper is introduced into the cell through an inlet port 4 opened on the bottom of an end 2a of the body part 2 and air is blasted into the raw material liquid S by a bubble generator 6 extending from the upstream side toward the downstream side of the flow direction D. Froth in the raw material liquid is allowed to float accompanied by the ascending bubbles B and flowed out from the opening 11 of the cell 3 to effect the deinking of the paper. The deinked raw material liquid S is discharged from a discharging port 5 opened at the bottom of the other end 2b of the cell 3.
