Title:
FLOAT BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006334422
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a float body which has a simple structure and is advantageous to miniaturization.

The float body 1A has a base portion 2, a rotor 3 rotatably installed on the base portion 2 and having rotary vanes 34, and a vibrating element 4 to rotationally drive the rotor 3. The vibrating element 4 is made by laminating an electrode, a piezoelectric element and a reinforcing plate, and is set in a manner that it abut against the outside periphery 331 of a driven body 33 provided in the rotor 3. The vibrating element 4 longitudinally vibrates with a fine amplitude (longitudinal vibration) due to the expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric element at the time when alternating voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element. When the vibrating element 4 vibrates, the driven body 33 rotates, repeatedly receiving a frictional force (pressing force) from the vibrating element 4. With the rotation, the rotor also rotates. When the rotor 3 rotates, buoyancy acts on the rotary vanes 34, thereby floating the float body 1A in the air.
