To provide a float type drain trap capable of preventing an operation member from being carelessly rotationally advanced.
A valve casing is formed by a body 1 and a cover 2. An inlet 5, a valve chamber 4, and an outlet 7 are formed on the valve casing. A valve seat member 9 is attached to a lower part of the valve chamber 4. A discharge passage 8 for communicating the valve chamber 4 to the outlet 7 side is formed in the valve seat member 9. A float 11 to be seated/separated on/from the valve seat member 9 to open/close the discharge passage 8 is arranged in the valve chamber 4. A plug 13 for rotationally advancing/retreating an operation member 14 from the outside is attached to the operation member 14 of which a tip side is located in the discharge passage 8 and a rear end side is located on the outside of the cover 2. An approximately cylindrical member 18 has a female screw part 18a to be screwed into a male screw part 2a formed on an outer periphery of the cover 2 on an outer periphery of the operation member 14 one its one end, an accommodation part 18b capable of covering the male screw part 2a on the other end and a connection part 18c which when the accommodation part 18b covers the male screw part 2a, is connected to a connected part 13a of the plug 13 to rotationally advance/retreat the operation member 14 between the one-end and the other end.
