Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type drain trap capable of: determining that a valve port area is reduced; and cleaning a valve port.SOLUTION: A float type drain trap includes: a rocking shaft 8 supported in a valve chest 5; a lever 9 and a main arm 10 to be revolved around the rocking shaft 8; a float 12 connected to the lever 9 for floating up/down depending on a liquid level in the valve chest 5; a lever shaft 11 supported by the lever 9; a main arm shaft 14 supported by the main arm 10; a coil spring 16 mounted between the lever shaft 11 and the main arm shaft 14 and having both mounting parts revolvable; a valve arm shaft 17 supported by the main arm 10; a valve arm 18 to be revolved around the valve arm shaft 17; a valving element 20 connected to the valve arm 18 for opening/closing a valve port 6; a flow detector 34 for detecting vibration, sounds or ultrasonic waves associated with the flow of condensed water; a reduction determiner 35 for determining that the valve port area is reduced, based on a time period from opening of the valve port 6 to next closing of the valve port 6; and a cleaning member 27 to be moved forward/backward in the valve port 6 for cleaning foreign matters deposited and accumulated on the valve port 6.
