To provide a float valve which can prevent or reduce the leakage of gas due to the freeze of liquid in a float chamber.
The float valve comprises a body 20 forming a float chamber 30 for storing water, a float 40 having a float body 42 floating on the liquid surface of the water existing in the float chamber 30, and a valve 36 to be opened and closed according to the movement of the float 40. The float valve is configured such that when the volume of the water stored in the float chamber 30 became more than a specified amount, the valve 36 is opened and the water more than the specified amount is discharged by the upward movement of the float body 42 due to the buoyancy. The float body 42 is provided with a space 44 for receiving the expanded volume due to the freeze of the water existing in the float chamber 30. The space 44 is formed by a through-hole 43 penetrating the float body 42 in the vertical direction.
