Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a sufficient closing force for a valve body without making a large-sized float at a lever type opening/closing mechanism for use in opening/closing a main discharge port.SOLUTION: A float valve 1 comprises an opening/closing mechanism 30 and a sub-float 41 within a valve chamber 13 of a casing 10. The opening/closing mechanism 30 comprises a rotatable lever 31, a main float 35 arranged at one end of the lever and a valve body arranged at the other end of the lever 31 to open/close a main discharge port 23 of the valve chamber 13. The sub-float 41 is arranged below the main float 35 under its free state to open/close a sub-discharge port 27 of the valve chamber 13. A flowing-in passage 14 of the casing 10 has an opening part 14a at the valve chamber 13 arranged at a higher position than that of the main float 35. The opening/closing mechanism 30 is constituted in such a way that drain flowing down from the opening part 14a of the flowing-in passage 14 to the valve chamber 13 may strike against an upper surface of the main float 35 under a state in which the valve body 36 closes the main discharge port 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
