Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the strength and simplify assembly and disassembly by forming a complete of landing strip through combination of a number of blocks as a fundamental structure in two rows, arranging two such completes parallelly with a certain distance between, and thereby constituting a floating artificial island. CONSTITUTION:Underwater members, on-sea members, and culumnar members to couple them together are assembled into a block 1 as a fundamental structure having a square oversurface with an edge of several tens of meters long. A number of such blocks 1 are set together into a row to constitute a complete 2 of airport landing strip, and two of such completes 2 are arranged parallelly with a certain distance between to constitute a floating artificial island. To hold this artificial island in a specified position, the blocks 1 situated at the four corners are provided with a side thruster D. This artificial island is equipped with a plurality of marine culture zones 4-6 in its central part, a sightseeing berth 7 and a sporting berth 8 on the two sides in longitudinal direction, and a metal sail 9 and houses at the joint parts 3A, 3B.
