To provide a floating body type flap gate which never overflows in the beginning of influx, and is not apt to be hard to fall down even in a case of a drop in water level, and made not to fall down abruptly.
There is provided a floating body type flap gate 11. One end of a wire rope 14 is fitted to a tip part of a door body 12, and the other end is fitted to a drum 19 through a standing/moving pulley 15, a standing pulley 16, and a suspension pulley 18. The standing/moving pulley 15 is normally positioned at a position where a counterweight 17 is at the lowest point when a tilt angle of the door body 12 is, for example, 45°, and the counterweight 17 is elevated to assist the door body 12 in standing, to absorb a shock when the standing is completed, and to follow up the water level during its falling-down. For artificial falling-down operation, the counterweight 17 is stopped from moving down, a rotating mechanism 21 rotates and reverses the drum 19, and the standing/moving pulley 15 is moved to contact and leave the standing pulley 16 to cause the door body 12 to rise and fall down. Consequently, the floating body type flap gate is prevented from overflowing in the beginning of influx and also from falling down abruptly before completely falling down. A shock is relieved when the standing is completed, and the water level is excellently followed up in the beginning of the falling-down.
