To suppress shaking when erection is performed and to improve water level followability when bringing-down is started.
A floating body type flap gate 1 is installed at an opening of a breakwater and is configured such that a distal end side 2b of a door body 2 can be erected and swung with a rotary shaft 2aa on a proximal end side 2a as a fulcrum within a plane in a height direction to the direction of water that is flowing in. To a distal end part of a rod 5a, a cylindrical case 5b is fitted freely movably along the rod 5a. Between the cylindrical case 5b and the rod 5a, a compression spring 5c which normally presses the cylindrical case 5b to the proximal end side 5ab of the rod 5a is interposed. Of a tension rod 5 configured to adjust the initial compression force of the compression spring 5c by a set piece 5d freely movable inside the cylindrical case 5b attached to the distal end of the rod 5a, the cylindrical case 5b is freely rotatably attached to the door body 2, and the proximal end side 5ab of the rod 5a is installed so as to freely approach and move to the proximal end side 2a of the door body 2 as the door body 2 is erected and swung. Impact force generated when erection is completed and an impact to the door body and a storage part of the door body are mitigated.
