To reliably and efficiently take floating matter by enhancing a wide and stratified suction flow in the vicinity of a water surface for improving floating matter collecting technique, to provide a mobile cruising type while taking into account of emergency and in a case of oil-spill accident, and to solve the problem that reuse is required by direct collection.

The floating matter collecting pump device is set on a ship and integrated therewith so that it can be used as a cruising type floating matter collecting ship. The floating matter collecting pump device collects only the floating matter by using a specific gravity difference in a floating matter separation tank connected to a suction-ejection duct after widely taking the floating matter in the vicinity of a water surface. Spilled oil is reusable because of the direct collection using the specific gravity difference without using a treatment agent in a case of oil-spill collection.
